" Got a good deal on this but even at the discount price I'd look at better-established brands before buying.
The watch-strap rubber fixing was fine on my silver handlebars but don't grip my black ones enough without surgical tape wrapped around the bar for grip. The light's too heavy and rolls forward off-road otherwise.
For the first two charges it went off after a few minutes without going to the red warning LED it's supposed to.
Moon never replied to my email asking for support about this, which makes me think that Raleigh UK don't talk to the Chinese makers, so don't expect any support except from users in forums.
The light is so bright I have to shield it from oncoming traffic on the road even on the lowest setting so I can only recommend it for remote roads because the supplied fixing can't be recommended for every bike even on rough roads let alone off-road.
So, it's great when it works and excels in pitch black away from traffic on smooth roads, making it almost like daylight...but even if it worked perfectly and had real support from the makers, is it worth the price? "
Pros: as bright as you like, looks cool, keeps your hand warm :)
Cons: Expensive, Poor Fit, blinds oncoming traffic, nonexistent customer support, unreliable battery for me, stupid fixing design

Should the blue LED on the power switch remain on when the battery is disconnected?

This may well be a silly question, but should the blue LED on the power switch remain on when the battery is connected but the light switched off? It does make it useful to find the light switch when its dark, but I wonder how quickly it will drain the battery? For example, should I be disconnecting the battery from the light each evening to prevent necessary charging? I am guessing that the current draw of the blue LED is so low it's insignificant, but it would be good to have this confirmed.
It always stays on on mine while the battery is working properly.

I'm advised that it should change to red when the battery's low but I've never seen it yet.
