" The Moon XP-300 front light provides the same sort of performance as my son's Light & Motion Urban 300 which is a very good light indeed, and the XP-300 was condierably cheaper.
The Shielld is one of the best rear lights that I have seen, and provides great safety on night journeys.
I purchased the set vin ther January sale, but even at the current price this pair represents exceptional value.

" On the first night I had the light my son and I went down the local trailway when it was pitch black. Well it would have been pitch black! The XP1500 lit up the trailway as if it was daylight. I could see every puddle, and every set of tree roots as if it was daylight. We arrived home totally splattered in mud but grinning from ear to ear. Even on the lowest setting it is good enough for riding down dark country lanes. Great value for the money (£120). I'm hoping to use it soon for an 18 mile each way commute to work down mainly country lanes. The Moon should be more than up to the job, in terms of both performance and battery life. "

rechargers

can you tell me if these front and rear lights come with all leads required to carry out recharge?
Absolutely. There is a charger cable with a wall plug, and a separate usb cable too.

Should the blue LED on the power switch remain on when the battery is disconnected?

This may well be a silly question, but should the blue LED on the power switch remain on when the battery is connected but the light switched off? It does make it useful to find the light switch when its dark, but I wonder how quickly it will drain the battery? For example, should I be disconnecting the battery from the light each evening to prevent necessary charging? I am guessing that the current draw of the blue LED is so low it's insignificant, but it would be good to have this confirmed.
Yes, I believe so. The draw from the battery is very low and over a week the battery had not discharged significantly when I left mine connected for over a week, but I tend to disconnect the battery from the light unit if I'm not going to be using the bike for more than two or three days.
