"I've had many of the Garmin's on my bike over the years: VistaCx, VistaHCx, Edge 205 and Edge 705 and they have never had everything I needed. Vista is a great touring device with good maps and elevation screen, but the Edge 205 and 705 were great bike computers but the lack of elevation screen and poor map rendering on the 705 were severe limitations. The Edge 800 however has it all. Good map rendering - clear and clutterfree, excellent bike computer with loads of display fields available, good elevation screen and top class heart beat and cadence. Even the calorie counting is now accurate if I use the heart monitor. Now I only need one GPS instead of carrying 2 as I have sometimes been doing! Garmin could improve the number and syncing of waypoints with the PC, this remains not all that efficient."
Pros: Attractive, High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile
