Flare Rear Light 2011
Talk of the Town. The Flare is so bright yet so dinky they will be stopping you just to have a closer look.

Grest Purchase
Posted21 June 2011
" A great purchase: very bright! I have noticed that since I have started to use this rear light motorists seem to be giving me a wider berth (it's so bright it is very usable during the day too). A comment to a previous reviewer who mentioned that it pointed down a little too much: YOU'VE GOT THE HOLDER SECTION ON UPSIDE DOWN!!! No problems with this light, even in the rain, but I am a little worried that I might lose the rubber holding clip when it is not attached to my bike. Would highly recommend. One slight negative, a friend had problems with two of these lights where they failed during the first ride, but this turned out to be due to crud left inside the casing during manufacturing - a good clean fixed this problem for both. Vision 1 LED Front Light 2012
This fantastic little light may just be the best addition to your night riding you can make as it a single high powered LED that pushes out 240 lumens on max power!

" Extremely bright for a single LED; well constructed; sturdy bodywork and good value for money compared with competitors. The only slight criticism is that it allows a slight side to side motion for setting horizontal angle that comes loose every now and again making it slightly wobbly.
I lost my old Hope Vision 1 and after looking at the market decided that, even after 18 months, it still offered the best lumens per GBP for that price bracket whilst still being well made (British too)! "

The MiNewt Mini 150 Cordless offers all of the great features found on the 250 Cordless, the only difference is a lumen output of 150 and of course the 150 Cordless looks great in white!

Does the bracket use a screw to clamp it ?

There doesn't appear to be any screw to
clamp the bracket to the handlebars.
What mechanism holds the bracket onto
the handlebars? Is this able to hold
the weight of the light over bumps ?
Also can the bracket be left
on handlebars and head unit detached from
bracket so you don't have to re-aim the light
every time the light is taken on and off.

The mechanism is very similar to that of a wheel quick release mechanism. You screw the bracket arm to the approximatley correct size and then clip and push the lever down.

Has anyone had any problems with this?

I cannot seem to use the medium high and max settings on this light. I am using Duracell batteries until my uniross rechargeables come and I can only use Low. If I press it twice it lights up for a bit then turns off. Has anyone else had this? Is it because the Duracell ones are not powerful enough?
I tend to see the higher settings turn off when my batteries are running out, it does this rather than going dim; I believe this turning off behavior rather than the LED going dim is some sort of protection mechanism for the LED - perhaps there is a problem with your batteries.
