" The summer lining is a single piece unlike the winter lining. This makes it much fiddlier to get it lined up with the helmet vents. "

" As many review have said, this is a fantastic all round tyre. Bought this as I'd worn out the previous one after 2 years/ 6000+ miles of mixed urban commute and longer weekend rides with no punctures. Rolls well, reasonable light and grips fantastically which is a boon given the summer we've had in the UK. Can't be beat for an all-round tyre.
Expensive but worth it. "

" This is a first impressions review. I bought these a few weeks back when we had a warm spell but due to the poor weather I've not given them much use yet.
The finish appears poor, the wrist is unhemmed, just cut fabric and not as tidy as in the online photos. Same for the finger ends. Very tight fit but the fabric has some stretch, you need those loops to remove the gloves!
I'll add more when I've given them couple of months wear. "

" I'm impressed, not have tried a base layer before but it works really well. As others have said, you stay drier and generally more comfortable. It's not exactly been warm in the UK lately so perhaps not the best weather for testing.
As to appearance, it's a string vest, they're never going to look good. Well made and reasonable fit but I think they are a bit on the large side. Ordered medium, close but not tight fit and very long, I'm a skinny 6' (1.82m) and 11 stone 70kg) "

" I needed another bottle anyway and had a longish (for me) ride coming up (the Tasty Cheddar Audax). This pack seemed like a no brainer.
The products do what they claim, the flavours of the electrolyte powders are a bit synthetic but the energy bars are really nice and easy on the stomach. The post-ride protein was good tasting and easy to drink.
If you are unsure or new to these kind of products then this is an excellent start. "

" I only bought a helmet to keep wife happy. I tried a number of helmets but my head size was on the med/lge boundary for many brands making it difficult to get a comfortable fit. The Las Squalos is excellent with plenty of adjustment and overlap between the sizes. I was at the low end of the overlap so went for the medium.
The range of adjustment is great so once you've got it set, you hardly notice it. Takes a bit of fiddling with the straps initially though. Minor adjustments when riding are simple with the control at the back of the helmet.
Well ventilated and reasonably light. I would certainly buy this one again if I needed another helmet.
If you've been reading reviews or descriptions elsewhere then note that this one doesn't come with the carry bag or extra pads that are provided from some vendors. It also doesn't have the detachable peak shown in the photo. "

" Bought these as I'd been impressed by the comfort and quality of their cheaper dhb bib shorts. The Finchdean were on offer so I went for an upgrade. They really feel and perform like shorts costing twice as much.
The pad was comfortable from the start and the fit was excellent. I went for the medium even though I was on the height boundary between medium and large, seeing as I'm on the skinny side.
Definitely recommend them, only problem was they only had red in my size which clashes with my jersey. "

" I bought this after taking a tumble and snapping a thumb ligament. Doctor said no cycling for 12 weeks, getting back on the bike after a 12 week gap was going to hurt. After discussion I found that he meant no force on the thumb for 12 weeks so trainer to the rescue.
I was very impressed with this trainer, it is very quiet, has a good range of resistance and a great feel thanks to the combined fluid and magnetic resistances. In fact the feel is very road like.
The handlebar mounting for the variable mag resistance is useful for quick bursts of intensity training.
My only criticism is the fixing mechanism for the rear wheel which is really fiddly, not a problem if you have the room to leave the bike in the trainer between sessions but a hassle if you have to set it up for each session as you really need 3 hands to do it.
Oh, you need something to raise the front wheel to keep the bike level, it really should be included with the trainer so budget for that.. "
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality
Cons: fiddly mounting mechanism

" the sizing is way out, I got a size larger than I usually take after reading another review which commented on the sizing. Even going up one size they are a really tight fit.
On the plus side the fabric is comfortable, gives good wind protection, they are warm when you need it and don't overheat too much if the temperature goes up unexpectedly.
They coped well on my commute when it was sub-zero in the morning and 17C on the ride home
They grip well but are a bit short on padding.
Overall they are a good buy for the money and are well made. "

Close ratio Mega-9 HG50 cassette, ideal for road and touring use in combination with compact chainsets.

Compatability with SORA & new wheels

My current cassette has 12-32t ratio. Bike is a 9 speed Felt Z95 SORA (2014) from Wiggle. I'm putting the new cassette on newly purchased wheels. I think my bike will have the extended deralieur already, so should this cassette with 11-30 ratio go on without a problem? Also what chain do you recommend for this cassette?
Should be fine. As to chains, I'm a big fan of the KMC X9-L chains.
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/kmc-x9-l-silver-9-speed-chain/?sku=5360258328

They last really well, run smoothly and quietly. I usually get at least 3000 miles out of mine and thats all year round riding in the UK.

Does this helmet or any of the LAS helmets come with visor?

The Las Squalos that I bought recently did not have a visor although one was shown in the photo on the website. Great helmet though, very comfortable.

 Finchdean Bib Cycling Shorts
Finchdean Bib Cycling Shorts
The Finchdean range - top performance kit which looks good and feels great

Hi I've never bought bib shorts before what are they like in summer and is it better to have a waisted short rather than bibs for the summer months

I've worn both and I prefer the bib top as they are much more comfortable around the waist.
As long as they use a wicking fabric, which most good ones do, and a decent jersey with good wicking properties as well, then you should do fine. I'm based in the UK so our summers aren't as hot as some places.

Ask yourself what do the pro riders wear :)

Differences btwn this & the cronofluid elastogel trainer-any disadvantages of this one?

I went for the hydromag as you get the road-like feel of the fluid and the ability to alter the resistance via the magnetic resistance. It really seems like the best of both worlds at a reasonable price
