R500 STI 8 Speed Dual Control Lever Set
R500 STI 8 Speed Dual Control Lever Set
Classically shaped non series 8 speed Shimano Sti's

Can I use these STIs on my bike? It has friction shifters.

I am using a 1990 Giant tourer/road bike with Deore DX rear Derailleur and a 6 speed which I intent to update to 8sp. Can u foresee any real problems?
Or do you think I could go Shimano CS-HG50? and use Shimano Tiagra Integrated shifter/brake levers?
Tks!
These will work with an 8sp MTB cassette, provided your 18year old rear mech is not worn! You may be better off going for a new mech than upgrading to 9sp.

Campagnolo Record Pista Track Bottom Bracket
Campagnolo Record Pista Track Bottom Bracket
This Campagnolo Record Pista bottom bracket is solely designed for track bikes.

When it says 'does not include sealings' in the description, does it mean more parts are needed or can it be swapped for any existing square taper bb?

No bearing seals are fitted. Which means it's for track use only in the dry. Not suitable for standard road bikes in mixed weather conditions.

To match the Hed Doctor we have made these laser engraved, anodised aluminium bar end plugs that do a simple job very well. These are also available in a full range of colours.

how are these used?

hi I just received these and they are much smaller than I expected. Are they really meant to be used as bar ends to allow wrist rotation (what I need them for) or are they just end plugs?

I've not put them on to try - maybe they will work as bar ends, but they seem too small to "grip onto". I can't find any pics of them in use.
These are just end plugs i.e. to stop your grips sliding and to protect the end of your bars.

 Wirefree Indicator Bicycle Light Set
Wirefree Indicator Bicycle Light Set
Front and Rear bicycle lights with 2.4GHz wirefree indicators built-in

Will the wireless Bicygnal indicator light work OK with a Garmin GPS also on the bike?

Yes, as long as you have bar-space for both.

The GPS will not interfere with the wireless signal and vice-versa

Flow Computer Ergo Turbo Trainer
Any cyclist with a bit of experience knows that top performance requires more than a weekly training routine.

Sorry for another HRM related question, but would this TT communicate with my Forerunner 305??

No, the Tacx trainers do not work with the Garmin HRM band.

You need a Polar compatible HRM

Are the supply voltage &/or frequency configurable?

Free shipping to Canada sounds good... but will the trainer actually work with 110V 60Hz supply? The Tacx website suggests I'd need the T1684... http://www.tacx.com/producten.php?language=EN&ttop=Flow&lvlMain=16&lvlSub=56&lvlSubSub=79
Will work with 110V and 240V as standard, comes with a 2 pin plug and a 3pin UK adapter from the box.
