Wrong sizing and bad rubbing on knuckles

" Following other comments, I ordered a size under (as well as my normal size), and the smaller of the two was the correct fit.
The pad isn't too thick and the the elasticated cuffs are nice on the wrist without velcro straps to rub.
However, if the the vented upper is a nice idea, the internal edge and stitching horrendously on my knuckles, to the point they were bleeding after a 100K ride.
Too bad, as the rest of the glove is great "

" It pimps the bike a bit, but the coating doesn't really last. Normal wear and tear probably. There's nothing different than a non-gold chain other than the colour I believe, so other than for the initial looks, it's a bit pointless.

Will stop slow leaks and punctures. This Solution converts standard (non tubeless) tyres to tubeless. Also works with any tubeless tyre or tubular tyres. When properly used, it will seal up to 1/4 inch punctures.

" My first time with sealant and the install with a syringe through the valve was easy, and without any leak or mess.
I had a puncture that didn't seal shortly after, but I think it was because it was too big.
Since repaired, the tires have almost lost no pressure at all! "

The visor also flips nicely up and down, without deforming the rest of the cap which is often the case, moving the helmet about.

" I don't think they're really full carbon as the edges of the one I received were very white, suggesting glass fibre as well, but that's just being picky. Those work well, and the edges are nicely trimmed.

The plug makes it a doddle to remove the funnel when you're done bleeding the caipers, with minimal spillage.

Hi I'm currently riding the Giant TCR Advanced SL4.
I currently run a 39/53 double crankset with a 11x25 rear cassette.
I need more options while climbing steep gradients, but don't want to lose speed on the flats and downhills.
I was thinking about changing the rear cassette to 11x28 and keeping the crank as the 39/53.
Would this work and would I need to change any other components?

You'll need to make sure your rear derailleur can take sprockets up to 28 teeth.
Do you have a 105 / ultegra / dura-ace rear mech?
With 105, only the RD-5700 is ok for 28 or RD-5700-A for up to 30
With ultegra, only the RD-6700 is ok for 28 or RD-6700-A for up to 30
With Dura-ace, only RD-7900 is fine for 28.
I personally swap between 25 and 27 on my ultegra/dura-ace ones with 39x53 at the front, but never tried 28.
However, you'll find plenty of reports that 28 is fine with any short cage rear mechs (except the dura-ace RD-7700 which goes only to 26), and I know of some who run it successfully. It's probably at the very limit of what the RD can do, though, so not to use too much in that configuration.
The one thing you'll need to be more careful about though is your chain length as it may be too short for the extra sprocket size.
After you checked this, just be careful when shifting to not be "big-big" or "small-small" and you should be fine.

I use only one scoop most of the time, two if I really need a bottle of concentrated drink, but never, ever, the "recommended" 3 scoops.
It makes the drink very hard to get down for me (I'm doing long distance triathlon and push hard on the bike =) )
3 table spoons seems way too much for a 750ml bottle, but it depends on your taste and what you can stomach.

What inner tubes are best with ultra gatorskin?
I've been recommended ultra gatorskin road tyres as have been suffering with multiple punctures. I have a Specialized Allez Sport. What width tyre do you recommend 700x23 or 25? Also what are the best inner tubes to go with them, and what pressure do you suggest to use them at ?

23 or 25? Not much difference really. I'd say that if you want a bit more comfort, go with 25s.
For inner tubes, you can definitely use ANY road inner tube you want! 18-25 are perfect for both tyre sizes.
The gators aren't particularly light, so they're best for training/winter riding.
I use them on my commute bike or in winter for the extra protection, but I really don't bother with specific tubes. You certainly don't have to buy conti tubes, but they might be cheaper than others!
I love my tires hard, and I always max them out. It's written on the side of them: 120psi or 8.5 bars for the 23s. You'll pick up less punctures that way.
Don't worry too much about the tubes, as long as they're pumped right up, you'll be fine.

Yep, it's a very practical "screw-on" item. It's not fixed with tie wraps like other models, and it takes no tools a only a minute to move it between bikes if you need.

Direction tread on gatorskin tyres
Hi , just bought and received 700x23 Continental Gatorskin from Wiggle. Does it have a rolling direction? I've noticed the "tread" could be put on either way.Im doing the London Brighton this weekend so an early reply would be great. Cheers

Yes they do, although I've ran mine "the wrong way around" by mistake without problems.
There should be a print on the sidewall next to where all the max PSI and other tyre info are, with an arrow and the word "ROTATION".
This is not yellow or in ink, but rather moulded as part of the sidewall so it could be tricky to see. Use a light flat on the tyre wall to see the shadows :) Always works!
