T.A have been making chainrings for 60 years. The teeth are cut in the traditional manner on a lathe which produces a much better and more accurate tooth form than stamping, which is used by most chainring manufacturers.

" I used done over a 1,000 miles in all weather conditions and the teeth are still in good condition. The ring is thicker than the chainring I had before. This makes it stronger. The only problem this creates is that some chainring bolts might be too short when attaching it to your chainset. "

" The front mudguard ties are too short to go around the tube so I have to use cable ties. This is poor because nowadays most bikes have a wider tube compared to older bikes. The rear is OK but could be a bit longer as you could still get spray on your back. I can't raise the angle of the rear mud guard too much as it would then obscure the view of my rear light. "

" Ride daily on London roads and have not yet had a puncture. Had a Durano before but had one puncture through the side wall and cuts were starting to appear so bought a Durano plus. Provides good grip. I only buy Schwalbe as they are very reliable and give piece of mind. "

Compatibility with 105 5750 compact chain set?

I'm thinking of using this to replace the 50 tooth outer chain wheel for a 105 5750 10 spd compact chain set. Is this chain wheel compatible?
Make sure the BCD/PCD number on the chainring is the same as the one you want to replace. This one is 110. I use the 44t with my 10 speed chain and it works fine.

would the rear mudguard clamp over seat tube top, I have limited space due to rear lights

The rear mudguard attaches to the seat post. It takes up about 1.5 inches. If you have limited space I would not recommend buying it.

Can these mud guards be permanently left on - screwed in?

I recently bought a mud guard from another brand, and I didn't realise that it could be screwed in until after it fell off while cycling.

Is it possible to screw these mud guards in?
The rear mudguard fits securely around the seat post. I ride on the bumpy town roads and don't have to re-tighten the rear. Not sure about the front mudguard but be aware that the front ties might be too short the go around the tube. You can use reusable cable ties to secure the front mudguard.

Will front guard fit my bike?

I am looking for a set of easily detachable mud guards for my Claud Butler road bike that I use in winter/for turbo training. It has external cabling. Can this front guard be fitted to the down tube of my bike or will the cables be in the way?
I bought a pair and could not fit the front mudguard because the ties were too short. You could attach it by using reusable cable ties.

Could you fit these to a Trek Madone 2.1 road bike

The front mud guard ties might be too short. I bought a pair and couldn't attach the front one. You can use cable ties to secure it.

Maximum puncture protection for race machines!

How many km would you reasonably expect to get out of these tyres before they need replacing.

Best answer
How long a tyre last depends on a number of things such as: surface it is ridden on, if it is inflated to the recommended pressure, weight of the rider and whether you brake hard causing you to go into a skid. I have done over 500km on London's roads and it is in excellent condtion. I did over 1600 km on a Durano riding on London's road with cracks, grit and broken glass before the sharp object went into the side wall. Had to replace the tyre but the grip was still good so I expect the Durano Plus should last a lot more 2000km.

How do you fit folding tyres?

I find it very difficult to get the tyre on to the wheel - do I need to soften the tyre first.
A quick search on the net will show how it's done. Type 'how to fit a folding tyre' and click on the videos. I went on this link:

What is a "folding tyre"?

It's a tyre that can be easily folded to save space if you want to carry it around in a bag. Some tyres can't be folded because the have a metal wire running through which helps the tyre clinch to the wheel rim. They are a bit tricky to put on if you have never done it before. I went on YouTube to see how it's done and it is much easier once you get the hang of it.
