Good shortsd but bad fit
Posted25 July 2011
" I've bought several DHB bib shorts before and have always been a medium (I'm 167 cm tall, 36" chest, weight 67 kg).
I had to return the medium Aeron Race shorts as the should straps were just too short and wouldn't go over my shoulders.
I swapped for a Large (supposedly for someone 180-185 cm tall) and they still only just fit.
Shorts are good quality and comfy everywhere except the straps which are still 'snug'. "
Pros: Comfortable, High Quality
Cons: Poor Fit, shoulder straps too short

Sticks well once applied and seems to hang on to teh frame really well. "

" Great fit, great value and greatly appreciated in the cold weather.
A big upgrade on last year's good tights - the zips feel far more robust and I beleive that these ones will last a couple of years.
Well done Wiggle on another fantastic bargain. "
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, better zips!

" Good light, really bright and distinctive flash pattern.
All this is irrelevant, however, given that the belt clip is so loose that on day 2 of using it it came off my saddle bag never to be seen again.
I didn't get a chance to use the seat post mount, but DO NOT rely on the belt clip alone. "
Pros: bright
Cons: Low Quality, Poor Fit, Poor Quality, falls off, rubbish belt clip

" I liked the sound of this top as, amongst other things, it came with both a reflective logo on front and back and also rubber grippers.
I find that rubber grippers make tops like this far more useful as they don't ride up at the back.
Here is my problem - this is a nice quality top, but it has neither of these features; it appears that there is some confusion between this and the dhb Finchdean top (which does have them).
I returned the top and bought the Finchdean jersey. If you aren't bothered about the grippers or reflective bits, it is a great top and much less expensive than the Finchdean.
If you do want those features, spend the extra on the Finchdean jersey. "
Cons: Not Enough Features

 Finchdean Short Sleeve Cycling Jersey
Finchdean Short Sleeve Cycling Jersey
The dhb Finchdean Cycling Jersey seriously outperforms traditional jerseys. Made from the latest generation Meryl fabric, it gives top class performance and comfort. The fabric is designed to transport sweat away from the body, ensuring the rider stays cool and comfortable. Its unique fibres also offer protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays. Lightweight with a soft next-to-skin feel, the jersey's anatomically designed panels give a sleek performance fit. For added breathability, there is a discreet underarm mesh panel made from DM48 fabric which rapidly channels sweat away from the body. It has a ¾ length front zip and three rear zipped pockets with two inner pocket compartments suitable for MP3 players, keys, food and phones. dhb clothing is used by the riders in Team Wiggle and the Charge Team Riders

" In the best traditions of Ronseal, it did exactly what it said on the tin!
Fit was good (snug) and zipped pockets are great for keys/money that you don't want to lose.
Another excellent, well priced dhb product. Other manufacturers could take note. "

Elite Turbo Muin II Fluid Direct Drive Trainer
Elite Turbo Muin II Fluid Direct Drive Trainer
The Elite Turbo Muin II direct drive trainer uses fluid technology which means the trainer is extremely quiet, smooth & realistic. With the direct drive, this means there is no slipping & reflects the tension felt when out on the open road.

Mac and Zwift

I can see that Elite state that "Elite Software is only compatible with Windows" but can I use the trainer, the Elite Misuro B+ sensor, a macbook and Zwift?

I am not interested in using ELite's software directly, just want to use Zwift on my mac with this.

 Castelli Trasparente Due Wind Jersey
Castelli Trasparente Due Wind Jersey
A lightweight cycling jacket with a jersey fit. The Trasparente Due features a WINDSTOPPER® X-Lite Plus Fabric front panel for breathable weather protection with a high-wicking rear panel for cooling when your route starts to climb.

Is this version 2?

I bought one of these ages ago and it is fantastic.

It went out of stock at Wiggle a while ago and then came back but is this version 2 which other retailers are stocking?

v2 has splash proof rear and better windproofing on the arms.

v1's only weakness was insufficient windproofing on the arms, hence the question.

 Tacx Flow Multiplayer VR Trainer
Tacx Flow Multiplayer VR Trainer
The Tacx Flow Multiplayer VR Trainer pumps out a maximum power rating of 990 watts and comes complete with a Electro magnetic resistance unit as well as Video Reality and VR software.

Front wheel steering

According to the Tacx website, the Flow does not have front wheel steering but the i-Flow does.

In the product description for the Flow, you repeatedly mention the i-Flow - is the description for this Flow VR product correct and it comes with the front wheel steering?

Vision 1 LED Front Light 2012
Vision 1 LED Front Light 2012
This fantastic little light may just be the best addition to your night riding you can make as it a single high powered LED that pushes out 240 lumens on max power!

Does this come with a QR bracket or not?

One of the reviews says no bracket - the bike mag review says it's excellent!
Yes, it does.

It has a bracket that quickly removes completely from the handlebars leaving nothing behind.

It does mean that when you remove the light you take the bracket with you, but it works well.

could you recommend batteries/charger?

If I buy this light, can you recommend a set of batteries and charger that will enable the light to perform at its best please?
If you want to look at non-rechargeable batteries, the Energizer Lithium (although a little expensive) seem to last ages.

I've been using them for the 45 mins of commuting that I do every day and they have lasted weeks on level 2 brightness.

What sort of batteries?

What type of batteries does this light take? Built-in cells or standard AAs, and how many? I notice a lot of lights pages don't say which batteries the units take, it would be really helpful if they could be updated to show this info.
