" This is a really comfortable sock. In comparison to more epxneivse socks such as the Assos Bonka sock it is nowhere near as warm and in that respect I wouldnt recommend it for use in temperatures less than 6 degrees C. Particularly if you are going out for a long ride. I'm tending to use the sock on the mountain bike where I am riding in cold conditions for less than 90 minutes. Any longer than that and I would want a heavier sock. Its a good price though and ideal for milder winter conditions. "
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Great Value
Cons: not as warm as other winter rated socks

" I've just fitted this chain to replace a KMC X10-SL on my number 1 bike. That chain did about 5000km and still looked shinily attractive. It was stretch to slip a little and it was an easy decision to replace like with like. "

" This is my go to jacket in dry, cold conditions where temperatures vary from 6-12 degrees C. Its a great fit (I take Size Small with my 95cm chest). Particular highlights are:
the high collar, athletic fit, long sleeves with narrow lycra cuffs that fit neatly under gloves, stretchy pockets, and overall a very attractive jacket to wear. The only negative is the zip pocket on the side, its a decent size but the zip is very fragile and impossible to use with gloves. Thats a shame as it is normally where I put my 4.7" smartphone, which fits comfortably in the pocket but is hard to get out. The main zip is very robust, I'm looking forward to lots more good rides with this jacket as it is very well built and should last a long long time.
"
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, High Quality, Versatile
Cons: poor quality zip on external pocket

" I admit to taking a sharp intake of breath when I ordered this as it was eye wateringly expensive. A good quality windjacket is just so important, and having owned a few which have varied from noisily annoying to uselessly restricting, I followed the reviews and dug deep for this. I neednt have worried. This oozes quality, the zip is super smooth and its a great fit in the cycling position. As you'd expect for an Assos product. Not only that, it is very bright, is very soft and just about as good as its going to get. No stuff sack with it, either separately or as part of the jacket, hence the 4*. For this sort of money you would think Assos would have provided one! I take a size SMALL on my 95cm chest. Perfect size. "

Cons: Expensive, no stuff sack

" I've now bought two of these and am really impressed with their fit and performance. Outstanding value for a merino top, they are very comfortable. The are a little short in the body but I like that, I use them on a bike or whilst running and I dont like really long base layers, particularly at the front. They dry really quickly and wick sweat away really efficiently. "

" Put the water in, add the powder, give it a good shake and voila, all the powder is dissolved quickly and efficiently as a result of the metal ball agitating the powder. No waste, powder lurking in the bottom after you've drunk it, everything gets used.
Very easy to wash and keep clean, nice would mouth to drink from. Good kit! "

 Speedplay Zero Stainless Pedals
Speedplay Zero Stainless Pedals
Speedplay pedals are incredibly lightweight thanks to intelligent engineering. The engagement mechanism is housed in the cleat, not the pedal, allowing you to have a double sided pedal with one mechanism (rather than one on each side of the pedal).

" I've used Speedplay Zeroes for over 8 years now, and am a great fan of the pedal. I decided to upgrade from the chromoly version fitted to my titanium bike, the black axles were looking tired and the pedal bodies had a lot of wear in them.
The stainless steel axles look fantastic with the titanium frame. The axles have a really good quality feel, threaded in very nicely to my Ultegra cranks.
Very happy, another excellent Speedplay product and great delivery from Wiggle. "

A perfect short for changeable but milder weather conditions where water resistance is a real bonus when showers strike. Keeps you drier and maintains comfort for longer when getting in the hard miles.

Size – 5’7” 70kg 98 chest

What size is correct for 5’7” 70kg and 98 chest? I wear Assos in Small. Is this bib short a relaxed, comfort or competitive fit?

dhb Team Wiggle Honda Bib Short
As the official team kit supplier of the Wiggle Honda Pro Cycling Team, dhb are proud to present the 2014 Wiggle Honda Padded Bib Short.

Same as Aeron Pro Bib Shorts?

Are these essentially another colour option of the dhb Aeron Pro shorts, or are the materials different, with extra team magic built in? Some of the panels look like a different fabric - is that the case, or is the contrast just black and grey colour sections?

I've got the Aeron Pro and Wiggle Honda shorts and they are different material. The WH top and shorts are superb - the material is super lightweight, moves moisture out quickly, and the fit is a racing fit, which I like. I've had lots of positive comments from other riders on appearance as well - definitely recommended!

Will a Shimano Ultegra 6600 short cage rear mech be able to cope with the 28 large sprocket on the 11-28 6700 cassettel

Top 1000 Contributor
Top 1000 Contributor
Hi
In a word, no. I have a Dura Ace 7800 short cage rear mech and fitted an Ultegra 11-28 6700 cassette (replacing a 12-25). Although the chain shifts smoothly onto the cassette, there is the occasional shudder and click in the rear derailleur, which sounds awful and isnt comfortable. Better to stick with the max 27t cassette recommended in the Shimano tech docs!
