" If you really need to have a goody bag, then this is quite a good one. I've had to mess about a bit with the velcro which goes around the stem, but it seems to stay put and is big enough to put an energy bar and a few gels in. The surprise up side is that the coating on my energy bar doesn't melt quite as badly in this pouch compared to when its in my back pocket !
Personally I would only use one of these bags for a long, long ride when you need to be self sufficient on your hydration and nutrition and stuffing your jersey pockets with all you need is a bit uncomfortable.

" This is a real body hugging piece of clothing. It fits tight but it doesn't feel constrictive in any way whatsoever. Its really comfortable. On those cool windy days which are all too frequent here in the UK, this is an excellent under layer and much improved from the old Gore wind stopper shorts which although blocked the wind were not very stretchy so could feel a bit restrictive when you're stretched out on thr bike. Not this iteration - I really recommend. "

" I was pleasantly pleased by these arm warmers which fit well, and keep your arms warm without being sweaty when you get a bit warmer from effort on the bike, but the air temperature is still a bit too cool to take them off.
I am blessed/cursed with quite muscular tops to my arms so sometimes the tops of arm warmers can be a tiny bit too tight for prolonged wearing. These fit a treat and they really stay up well - so no creeping down your arm as the ride goes on !
I recommend them.

" Assos sizes can come up a bit on the small side, so if you think you are between sizes, probably best to go for the larger.
Assos ladies cycling shorts are THE shorts - I would wear no other. The fit is excellent, they protect your most delicate "bits" and used with a decent chammois creme you should never have a sore botty.
The shorts are expensive - but you get what you pay for. They are well made, and comfortable and if you take care when washing them , they should give long service. This model of the shorts have got rid of the old elastic edging around the end of the leg and now have an in-built elasticated section - much more comfortable.

" This ladies winter jacket from Assos is well made and nicely fitting. My only criticism of Assos is that the sizes are quite small (certainly the Ladies sizes are). I am not a skinny racing snake but neither am I an over weight person. I purchased a Ladies XL - in the sale - on spec that the size would be rather small. With winter layers underneath, it fits pretty comfortably. You will need layers because this jacket while lovely is not warm enough for freezing temperatures without plenty of warm layers underneath.
I recommend this jacket but if you are a bigger lady (in height or girth !!), then I'm afraid you may struggle to find Assos clothing to fit, which is a great shame because the quality and fit is great, if rather expensive in price.

What should I do when the "rubber" band wears out?

Top 1000 Contributor
Top 1000 Contributor
So far as I can see, the answer is, either find a snazzy way to tape it to your bike without blocking the LEDs, or maybe get some tough rubber bands and put them around the seat post and try and strap the light on that way. Failing all other creative ways of lashing the lamp to your bike (which may not be too handy if you want to re-charge it regularly !), then I'm afraid you may have to place it on a shelf and gaze wistfully at it, or just throw the thing away.
The rubber strap on mine broke very quickly, so I am deeply not impressed with this feature of an otherwise nice little lamp.

Non-circular seatpost

Will this fit ovalised seatposts like those on the Giant Defy and TCR.

This probably would because of the rubber. HOWEVER ... and this is a big however, the rubber strap on mine fell apart after a very short period on the bike (just a couple of months, for which most of the time the bike and the lamp were in a darkened room !). To my knowledge the strap was not over stretched, nor was it exposed to anything which would degrade the rubber so quickly.
Once the strap is broken, you are basically stuffed, as there seems no way to repair it. Suggest not to buy this.

This is a fitted garment. It is tretchy but if you want something loose then this prob isn't for you. That said I find this version of the windstooper undershirt soooo much more comfortable than the old version. This is tight & fitted but very comfortable.

I bought a M/L. I am a ladies size 12/14 and would normally wear Assos ladies M or L - depending on the item. If you have really skinny arms you might choose a smaller size, but if you are not the proverbial "racing snake" build then opt for comfort, and rather buy the larger size if in doubt. You can always swap it if you did make the wrong choice.

Would the female size 44 fit a male 34" waist

Would this product on offer also fit a male, if the sizing matched
Top 1000 Contributor
Top 1000 Contributor
These are really close fitting garments. I think a womens size would not be shaped well for a man. I would suggest you bite the bullet and buy your man a man's version. Whilst small men and women might get away with inter changeable garments, its unlikely that in bigger sizes this will be possible.

Top 1000 Contributor

I wonder if that suggests that maybe you should be looking at the medium size ? As the shorts are lycra, they of course will stretch to fit, but as you are finding out, the pad is proportionate to the shorts size.
For my size, I could get away with a medium, but I've stuck with a large because the pad protects me where I need it. Don't be afraid to try a larger pair and see for yourself.

What size should I wear?

Should I order for a XS Uma Jack then? My body measurement is half way between a XS and a S size. Thank you.
Top 1000 Contributor

I find Assos sizes rather small and you should rather err on getting a size larger than you might buy in other (cheaper) brands, rather than smaller. What I do if in doubt is to buy two sizes and try them on, keeping the one which fits best.
Remember with a winter jacket you will need to layer underneath, so a little slack is quite likely to be filled by those layers.
