" Nice carbon spacer rings - but be careful to line up the Deda logo when you're using multiple rings, and to mount them all the same way before you tighten everything up !

" If you use a cassette with large cogs, and are riding with a 52/53 big ring, take care - this chain isn't long enough for you.
Obviously this is a Shimano chain and has all the quality you'd expect, so nothing wrong other than you need to make sure you match your chain length to your setup. I didn't !

" I have always worn Sidi road cycling shoes but the Genius series. I really needed a new pair of shoes because the old was not supporting my feet properly, so I decided I had to buy a new pair. However, when I saw this Sidi Women's Wire Carbon Vernice Road Shoe on offer, I was tempted and I have to say, it was worth every penny. This is a first class shoe and its very clear when you wear it, why you pay such a lot more for a pair of these, over the Genius range. I hardly know my feet have shoes on, they are so comfortable and supportive. I really recommend digging very deep into your purse and treating yourself to these shoes, if you love your road cycling. Yes, I'd prefer they were a little cheaper but they are in a class of their own and its great that we girls can buy a really top class shoe in the UK at long last. "
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit, supportive
Cons: Expensive, white colour - shows dirt & yellows !

Lovely light - poor quality rubber strap spoils

" This is a lovely light, and great that its rechargeable. However, I am extremely disappointed that only a few months after I bought this light and even less time after I fitted it to my seat post, the rubber fastening strap has split and the lamp fell off. The lamp was not under any great stress and not exposed to "something nasty" that would degrade the rubber.
There is no way to repair the lamp once the rubber strap goes, and so you are left with having to throw a perfectly functional lamp away. What a waste of money it was !!!! A great shame - do not buy one of these.

Pros: Good Fit
Cons: Wears Out Easily, poor rubber strap

" I wore this rain jacket for the 2014 Prudential London 100 - in very wet conditions. This little jacket held up to the many solid downpours well. It packs up small and is as light as the ad says it is. It seems well made and packs nicely into its own pocket. It is a nice fit with long arms so when you're stretched out on the bike, the sleeves still come down to your hands - no cold open gaps ! "

If you really need to have a goody bag

" If you really need to have a goody bag, then this is quite a good one. I've had to mess about a bit with the velcro which goes around the stem, but it seems to stay put and is big enough to put an energy bar and a few gels in. The surprise up side is that the coating on my energy bar doesn't melt quite as badly in this pouch compared to when its in my back pocket !
Personally I would only use one of these bags for a long, long ride when you need to be self sufficient on your hydration and nutrition and stuffing your jersey pockets with all you need is a bit uncomfortable.

" This is a real body hugging piece of clothing. It fits tight but it doesn't feel constrictive in any way whatsoever. Its really comfortable. On those cool windy days which are all too frequent here in the UK, this is an excellent under layer and much improved from the old Gore wind stopper shorts which although blocked the wind were not very stretchy so could feel a bit restrictive when you're stretched out on thr bike. Not this iteration - I really recommend. "

What should I do when the "rubber" band wears out?

So far as I can see, the answer is, either find a snazzy way to tape it to your bike without blocking the LEDs, or maybe get some tough rubber bands and put them around the seat post and try and strap the light on that way. Failing all other creative ways of lashing the lamp to your bike (which may not be too handy if you want to re-charge it regularly !), then I'm afraid you may have to place it on a shelf and gaze wistfully at it, or just throw the thing away.
The rubber strap on mine broke very quickly, so I am deeply not impressed with this feature of an otherwise nice little lamp.

Non-circular seatpost

Will this fit ovalised seatposts like those on the Giant Defy and TCR.

Teardrop in section with apex of drop at rear.
This probably would because of the rubber. HOWEVER ... and this is a big however, the rubber strap on mine fell apart after a very short period on the bike (just a couple of months, for which most of the time the bike and the lamp were in a darkened room !). To my knowledge the strap was not over stretched, nor was it exposed to anything which would degrade the rubber so quickly.
Once the strap is broken, you are basically stuffed, as there seems no way to repair it. Suggest not to buy this.

Is a Size 40" size Large as per your size chart?

This is a fitted garment. It is tretchy but if you want something loose then this prob isn't for you. That said I find this version of the windstooper undershirt soooo much more comfortable than the old version. This is tight & fitted but very comfortable.

With the introduction of S7, the legendary Assos Armwarmers have been completely re-engineered. The Improved anatomical cut adheres better, stays in place and follows your movements. 2 different fabrics keep you warm and cozy in cold conditions.

Could you please provide sizing information?

I bought a M/L. I am a ladies size 12/14 and would normally wear Assos ladies M or L - depending on the item. If you have really skinny arms you might choose a smaller size, but if you are not the proverbial "racing snake" build then opt for comfort, and rather buy the larger size if in doubt. You can always swap it if you did make the wrong choice.

Would the female size 44 fit a male 34" waist

Would this product on offer also fit a male, if the sizing matched
These are really close fitting garments. I think a womens size would not be shaped well for a man. I would suggest you bite the bullet and buy your man a man's version. Whilst small men and women might get away with inter changeable garments, its unlikely that in bigger sizes this will be possible.

 Assos Women's H FI.Lady S5 Waist Shorts
Assos Women's H FI.Lady S5 Waist Shorts
ASSOS performance in a lady’s cut and style. ASSOS H FI.Lady_S5 shorts have a shaped waistband, which is flat at the front and elasticated at the back, for comfort and gentle support.

Is the padding larger in area in the medium size than the small size? I've got one pair in the small size which fit but I find the padding a bit short

I wonder if that suggests that maybe you should be looking at the medium size ? As the shorts are lycra, they of course will stretch to fit, but as you are finding out, the pad is proportionate to the shorts size.
For my size, I could get away with a medium, but I've stuck with a large because the pad protects me where I need it. Don't be afraid to try a larger pair and see for yourself.

Half way between sizes

I have 95cm hips, which is exactly half way between S and M. Which size would you suggest I purchase?
Assos is always a bit on the small side so would always suggest to go for the larger.

 Ladies UmaJack 851 Windproof Jacket
Ladies UmaJack 851 Windproof Jacket
Ladies high collar, full front zip jacket made from Assos's 851 windproof air block fabric giving wind protection on the arms, chest and stomach areas.

What size should I wear?

I bought an IntermediateEvo Lady long sleeve jersey in XS size and find it suits me perfectly. I ordered a S size Uma Jack and find it a bit loose over my trunk whilst it fits my shoulder width. Should I order for a XS Uma Jack then? My body measurement is half way between a XS and a S size. Thank you.
I find Assos sizes rather small and you should rather err on getting a size larger than you might buy in other (cheaper) brands, rather than smaller. What I do if in doubt is to buy two sizes and try them on, keeping the one which fits best.
Remember with a winter jacket you will need to layer underneath, so a little slack is quite likely to be filled by those layers.
