" Fits most modern Enigma frames, (cowl type fork end). The original broke while on holiday in France. Fortunately last but one full day.
Original was aluminum casting. I un-shipped the chain from the rear jockey pulley when removing it from a back wheel type bike stand. When I set off it jammed. Very little force on the pedals as I'd hardly moved. Corrected the chain and rode for next day and a half. Then with no pressure on the pedals the rear mech went into the back wheel. I was descending at the time and could have been very dangerous but managed to hold the locked back wheel skid to a halt. Fortunately no following traffic!.
A similar spare replace was a poor fit with very rounded edges and a slightly convex mating face against the fork end. This held it at a slight angle to the fork end but was forced into line when the QR was tightened: the hanger now in tension due to being bent.
The Pilo has sharp, clean corners and flat faces. It fits like a glove completely flat against the fork end. Being machined from aluminum bar it will be stronger and could be bent back if slightly damaged. The original snapped like a carrot.

" I've had calf muscle problems since riding through cramp on a hard, hot Audax in 2006.
Now almost cured after persisting with various palliative measures.
Have used Skins & 2XU compression tights after and during workouts but benefit only limited.
I've used the Endura socks during and after training rides and found them a great help,
(3 - 4 hard rides so far).
So pleased I've ordered a second batch of (2) pairs.
I started with L, my calves measure 38 cm circumference, shoe size 47. So will try XL.
A struggle to put on but seem to have developed the knack.
They're thinner than my usual cycling socks (Woolly Bully) so wear a thinner short pair on top.
Very reasonable price in 2 pair batch.

" I hate damaging attractive and expensive components due to not having the right tools.
So jumped at the chance of this tool at sale price.
There's always an alternative to using a hammer on a light weight bike.

" I find modern shoe materials don't give and conform to your feet like traditional leather.
So thicker socks help to improve comfort.
These are excellent and wick away sweat keeping feet dry and comfortable.
I prefer the 6" leg length when wearing over-shoes but these are great normally.
The tops aren't too tight but stay in place.
XL a good fit inside my size 47 shoes.

" Suffer from pins and needles due to vibration on some road surfaces.
So always wear padded mitts.
Despite not having huge hands, I(10.5" round x 9" wrist to middle finger), need the XXXL size.
Some other makes largest are too tight.
I always go for mitts with the pull-off loops: why ever not!
I like the under-stated black and red color scheme, it doesn't show the dirt and wears well.

" In such an exposed location I don't like alloy Torx bolts, often fitted to better quality chain sets.
Used to get Ti replacements but can't find them any more.
The correct grade of stainless would be better but these will do.

" Needed 17 deg stem to lower bars.
I wanted the now unobtainable Oval Concepts but this is just as good.
Strange "top-lock" fitting instructions, (tighten top bar-clamp bolts fully - not top and bottom even). but will give it a try. I can see the logic if its so designed).

" Previously used pliers but awkward to get in and might damage the valve thread.
Came across it by accident. No need to take on rides but now always check new tubes with it. Had problems in the past with slightly lose stems giving the impression of an impossible to find slow puncture.
Also occasionally had a valve stem unscrew when disconnecting a screw-on connector.
Not any more!

Better chuck than origional on SKS Airbase pump

" The original SKS chuck never felt as positive as this and deteriorated. I had given up on using it a couple of years ago after replacing the hard to find washer twice. Had resorted to a frame fit pump and plastic Schwalbe pressure gauge.
Basically excellent SKS pump now works a treat.
Only 4 stars as had to resort to less elegant method to connect the new hose of cutting the old one and using one of the several adapters and small jubilee clip, all supplied.
The SKS hose connectors at both ends had large screw threads.
However, it works and I haven't had to go out and buy any extra fittings or do a "bodged" job.
Too soon for long term test but feels solid and no other reports of premature wear.
"
Pros: Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: not ideal hose connector

Will these hoods fit Chorus QS 10 speed 1997 Campy part number EC-RE600?

No. I think all the 10 speed QS levers are a different shape. They don't have the taller, inward facing horns.

will these fit chorus 11. 2012/13

No! These "Power Shift" hoods are for the cheaper Veloce, Centor and Athena levers that can only drop one sprocket at a time. They only have a hole for the thumb button to project through.
For Chorus and Record levers that can drop down 5 sprockets in one movement you need the "Ultra-shift" model. This has a slit extending from the thumb button to underneath the lever body.
It is possible, with care, to cut a slit in a Power Shift hood as there are no additional reinforcing ribs at the edge of the slit to strengthen it or locate inside the slit in the lever body. Mark the slit with a Biro using an existing Ultra-shift hood as a patten and cut with a sharp scalpel-like knife. There is no saving as I think both are the same price.
